Gold Line Groundbreaking!

Saturday, June 26, 2010 more than 700 people attended the ground breaking for the first Measure R project in Los Angeles County. This is a game changer for our Valley! The Journey Continues and on Saturday we set a new chapter!

Watch as the construction starts on the Iconic Bridge crossing the 210 freeway. Soon you’ll see work on the tracks. The completion is set for 2014!

Kick-off to the Gold Line Foothill Extension

On Saturday, I spoke at the Signage Unveiling Ceremony for the new Gold Line Foothill extension. The event was at the historic Santa Fe Train Depot on Myrtle & Duarte. We are so excited about having the Gold Line through Monrovia!

Dear Friends,

I just updated my website! I am committed to open communications with Monrovians, so I want to maintain this website during my tenure as Mayor. You’ll notice a few changes from the campaign website:

An email newsletter – I will be sending an email newsletter every 2-3 months to keep you up-to-date about current issues around the city. You can sign up for my newsletter right from the website.
There’s a page outlining my Committee assignments. Let me know if you are especially interested in any of these areas.
A new page listing some specific community resources and organizations of special interest to me. There are so many great resources and websites for Monrovians that I couldn’t list them all. However, I hope these will get you started if you are looking for more information.
The Calendar feature has been updated, with all the events from the Monrovia community calendar. You can see a whole month of events at a time on the Calendar page, as well as a list of upcoming events in the sidebar.
